Yesterday was H's open house day at school. Not the official first day, just a day to meet the teacher and help the kids get comfortable with their new classroom. So they started off playing with some homemade play dough (same recipe as mine, I love the smell of this stuff). V was there "helping" little sis.
She found the cubby that has her name on it:
She found the desk that has her name on it and put her new school supplies inside:
Then we went on a tour to the gym: (V is still helping by holding H's hand)
We stopped in the library for a story. Note the class size, they're not all here but there are only seven kids in her class (5 girls, 2 boys):

Our third grader and kindergardener are now in their classrooms and I miss them already.

Back to her desk for an art project and then some shapes bingo. She really likes her classroom and her teacher and was excited to go back this morning.

Official first day of school pictures by the front door:
V's class is slightly larger - 7 multiplied by 4! Yes, 28 kids but we know all but a few of the kids in her class and almost all of them have very involved parents, half of them practically live at the school and are in the classroom helping out all the time. Thank you Lord for arranging that. It makes such a difference.

They look so grown up! Hannah looks so happy sitting at her new desk. Thanks for the updates and great pictures!
