Birthday Girl

V turned nine on the 15th! We're all proud of the young lady she is becoming and so thankful for the blessing she is to our family. This year for her birthday present, V wanted to get her ears pierced. So (having earned the privilege and remembering Madeline's advice) she did it. Since it was on her birthday, she chose her birthstone.  

Every year we seem to do something completely different to celebrate. This year , she wanted to invite one friend and go roller skating. So, we spent an afternoon at Oaks Park Roller Rink and had a blast. After skating in the house daily for the last few weeks they were practiced and ready! It was a fun day followed by pizza, root beer floats, and a slumber party with her buddy.

Anybody else remember this wavy floor part? This place hasn't changed a bit in 25 years!
